Don’t fight sexual desire. Don’t fight any desire. The mantra of fighting will not work. The lamp: simply take in the lamp of meditation – nothing but that will help.

Desire is life-energy seen in darkness. Desire is looking in darkness, in ignorance. In the light of meditation, the snake of desire is simply not found. In the light of meditation you find that which is. In the darkness of ignorance – or in the blindness of the absence of meditation – you see that which certainly is not.

Light the lamp of meditation and go in. And I will wait for the moment when you come out laughing, saying, “The snake is just not there.”

Through ignorance, even blessings become curses, and through understanding, even curses become blessings.

That is why the real question is not of curses or blessings; the real question is knowing the alchemy which transforms thorns into flowers. Coal that passes through a chemical process becomes a diamond. Sannyas is such a process that turns coal-like consciousness into diamonds.

I am revealing the fundamental key of the alchemy of sannyas to you. I will not say it directly. I will certainly say it – and yet you will also have to look for it, because an indirect indication is an essential part of revealing that key.

Some great mantras are such that they just cannot be said directly. Or if they are said, they cannot be understood. Or if they are understood, their intrinsic poetry is lost. That poetry is their very soul.
